RESEARCH RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS

MeL.org provides great research databases for students at: http://mel.org/databases

For K-5 students, KidsInfoBits and Britannica Encyclopedia are two great places to start. Below is a VIDEO that models how students can use KidsInfoBits for research. (It also shows how to create a bibliography page of the articles they have referenced.)

For Middle School students, try starting with Opposing ViewPoints in Contexts and Research in Context databases when searching for material to support opinion writing.

Also consider signing up at: contact@mel.org to receive their MeL Minute newsletter with helpful tips and suggestions.
